Morrow (GA) High's Jamari Holloway Signs With Golden Eagles

Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2019 Morrow (GA) High School senior to the wrestling team. On February 15, 2019, Jamari Holloway signed a National Letter of Intent to wrestle for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Holloway was a three-year letter winner for the Mustangs wrestling team and garnered Clayton Country Wrestler of the Year honors along with being named team captain during a very successful senior year, in which he finished first in the county, was a State Qualifier, State Placer and State Champion. He finished third in Clayton Country his junior year, along with participating in the Georgia Games and was fifth at the Dixie Nationals held in Atlanta. He was also name Most Improved wrestler at his high school where he made the A&B Honor Roll as a sophomore and junior. Holloway has served on the Usher Board of China Grove Missionary Baptist Church for seven years and also participates in the Big Brothers program.

"Jamari is a fine young man and a pretty good wrestler as well," said Dave Schlarb, Head Wrestling Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "He has a spotless academic record and is a solid citizen in the Ellenwood and Morrow communities as well.  He's going to come right in an vie for a for a starting position and will make us a better team and campus. We are very thankful for having him as a Golden Eagle."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA).
