Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2019 Amanda Clearcreek High School senior to their wrestling team. On April 29, 2019, Jacob Green signed a National Letter of Intent to wrestle for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Green was a three-year letter winner for the Aces wrestling team and placed third in the sectionals, but was sidelined in the districts with an injury. During his senior season he was 27-10 winning 19 of his matches by pin. He never lost a match in team duals and was awarded the Team MVP and Most Pins awards. He also earned the ACES Pride award during his sophomore season. Green has been heavily involved in the Soap Box Derby since 2010, where he qualified for the world finals eight consecutive years and is a two-time national top point champion. He finished fourth in the world in the rally stock division and seventh in the world in the rally masters division. He currently works with younger drivers to help them be competitive and assists with local races. He has performed numerous community service and charity events such as, ODOT highway cleanup and the Pelotonia bicycle race to find a cure for cancer. He will major in electrical engineering at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"I know we have gotten a good one," said Dave Schlarb, Head Wrestling Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "Jacob is a great citizen and a pretty darn good wrestler as well. He's a pinning machine with more than 46 pins in his 62 wins over a three-year career for Amanda. I look for him to really make some noise on the mat for us."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA).
