Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2019 Danville High School senior to their wrestling team. On May 14, 2019, Dylan Wilson signed a National Letter of Intent to wrestle for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Wilson was a four-year letter winner for the Blue Devils wrestling team and was four-time Knox Morrow Athletic Conference Champion (KMAC) in the 220 lb. (three times) and the 285 lb. classes. He qualified for the districts twice, was a sectional champion, district runner-up and a state qualifier as well. He also earned four letters in football, where he was a three-time Associated Press All Ohioan (AP) and three-time AP First Team All-Star. Wilson was named a Mt. Vernon News First Team All-Star and Ohio High School Football Coaches Association First Team All-Star twice, as well as earning first team spots on the WMVO Super Q 93.7, KMAC and North Central Ohio Football Coaches Association all-star teams.

"Dylan will fill a big spot for us at the 235 lb. class," said Dave Schlarb, Head Wrestling Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "He has been a wrestling and football fixture at Danville and I expect him to be a solid contender for us as well. He is a hard worker, a very capable and strong young man and is really well-liked by his teammates. If it wasn't for a nagging shoulder injury during his senior year, he definitely would have been at state competing for a championship."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
