The Golden Eagles wrestlers participated in the Dr. Si Ostrach Meet held at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles wrestled in three dual matches and lost to Washington & Jefferson 54-0, Waynesburg College 49-0 and the host Spartans 46-12.

In their final match of the day against CWRU, Tyler Ernst recorded a pin in 3:42 over Manhattan Gatton in the 141 lb. match. Ernst's win cut an early Case Western lead to 12-6 as he teamed up with Mason Contini for the only two Eagles wins on the day.

Contini also earned a pin in the 184 lb. bout in 0:47 over CWRU's Stephen Andryc. His win made the score 34-12, but a loss in the 285 lb. match and a forfeit in the heavyweight class pushed to final tally to 46-12 in the Spartans favor.

On Sunday, February 2nd, the Golden Eagles will host a quad featuring Ohio Valley University, the University of Akon and the University of Toledo. All tickets are $5 at the door and action begins at noon.
