For the second consecutive day the KSU Tusc volleyball team scraped and clawed their way to a victory, this time in five sets as they downed Penn State Shenango on the road 3-2.

The Golden Eagles won the odd numbered sets while the Lions won the even numbered ones in nearly identical scores, but the Navy and Gold outlasted PSU to take the fifth and deciding set 15-11.

With the 25-17, 18-25, 25-17, 19-25, 15-11 victory, the Eagles moved their record to 2-5 on the season and the impact of having a libero on the floor for the first time this season was positively evident. Lincoln Raymond (Indian Valley/Port Washington, OH) took the court for the first time for the winners and her stellar play in the back row---she had 21 digs---allowed the Eagles to hold service and keep rallies alive.

It was that girl again though, Mya Blochlinger, who wreaked havoc on the opposition's front line as she recorded 16 kills, six blocks and two service aces. Teaming up with the Blochlinger, Corinne Sanders added 12 kills and 8 assists, while Lindsey Seibert had 12 assists.

On Wednesday, September 15th the Golden Eagles return to action on the road as they visit Lakeland Community College in a 6:00 p.m. start.
