On Saturday, the KSU Tusc volleyball team got a much-needed win and broke a four-match losing streak by downing Ohio University Lancaster in a three straight set win in Founders Hall Gym.

Things didn't start out so rosy for the sleepy Golden Eagles, as the visiting Cougars steam rolled their way to a 10-0 advantage to start the match. The Eagles bounced back to within 22-15 when they broke service and Nicole Simons blanked OUL the rest of the way with 10 straight points from the service line to win 25-22 in a dramatic comeback.

In the second set, the Eagles turned the tables and leapt out to a 10-2 lead on the strength of eight straight service points by Lizzy Keller. The visitors however, righted themselves and fought to an 11-11 tie before KSU Tusc inched ahead as the teams battled for momentum. The Eagles eventually chipped their way to a 21-16 lead and Keller served up the last four winning points for a two-set lead and a 25-16 win.

The Golden Eagles took the final set going away with a 25-13 win to improve their record to 10-7 on the season.

Next Saturday the Eagles travel to Miami Middletown to play the Thunderhawks in two best of three matches to wind up the regular season.
