The volleyball team closed out their regular season with a sweep of two matches on the road at the C. Eugene Bennett Recreation Center in Middletown, OH, on Saturday.

Both matches were close in the best of three sets, with each mirroring the other as the Golden Eagles won the opening sets and the homestanding Thunderhawks taking the second. It was KSU Tusc that prevailed in the third set of each match, winning by nearly the same margin.

The Eagles won the opening set of the first match 25-23, lost the second by a 25-19 count, but came back to take the deciding third set 15-10.

In the final match of the day, both teams rallied to take sets by wider margins than those of the opener. The Golden Eagles took the first set 25-18, while MUH won the second rather easily at 25-11. With the match on the line, KSU rallied in the final set of the day winning 15-9 to improve their record to 12-7 on the season.

The victories were important to the Golden Eagles who are ranked 10th in the USCAA Coaches Poll, as only the top six teams are invited to post season play in Virginia Beach, VA.

They will find out their fate on Wednesday, November 2 at 4:30 p.m. via a live bid show accessible on the USCAA web site.
