Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2023 Coshocton High School senior to their volleyball team.

On Thursday, January 26, Addison Gordon signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles.

Gordon, primarily a utility player, was a three-year letter winner for the Redskins and also played JO volleyball for three years. As a very skilled senior player, Gordon was no stranger to playing in the back row, spent time as an outside hitter, middle hitter and was one of the better servers on her team.

Her current list of school activities include; Vice-President of the Varsity C Club, Student Council Treasurer, National Honor Society Historian, BOLT Leadership Team, Key Club Secretary, Senior Class Historian and office aid. She has also had a positive impact on the local Coshocton community by volunteering to help with the United Way and Kiwanis fundraising events, as well as student council community events.

She also completed classes through the College Credit Plus Program at Central Ohio Technical College and will pursue a Bachelor's degree in communications at Kent State Tuscarawas. Her dream is to become a Meteorologist and work in the broadcast industry.

"Addison has been a very positive leader at Coshocton High School and in the community at large," said Cortney Goodwin, Head Volleyball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "I know that the high school will miss her, but she will continue to have a positive influence as a member of the Golden Eagles volleyball team and the Kent State Tusc campus community. We are very excited to add her leadership and all-around experience to our team."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a six-year member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
