Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2024 Mansfield Senior High School graduate to their volleyball team.

Adazianna (Dazey) Manns recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles.

Manns, primarily an outside hitter and back-up setter, was a four-year letterwinner for the Tygers volleyball team and also earned a letter in basketball for the orange and brown. She led her team with a 94% serving average, accounted for 122 points, 235 digs, 71 assists, 35 aces and made just 17 ball handling errors in 384 ball handling attempts in her career for MSHS, a member of the Ohio Cardinal Conference (OCC) in DII of the OHSAA Northwest District. Manns was recognized by the OCC as a three-time Honorable Mention recipient and was volleyball team captain for the Tygers.

Her community service includes throwing a Christmas party for children with a local outreach organization, as well as helping organize an annual trunk-or-treat event at Mansfield Senior High School. She also volunteered at middle school volleyball tournaments.

She loves animal science and will pursue a degree in veterinary technology at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"We are excited to add a solid utility player like Dazey to our roster," said KSU Tuscarawas Head Volleyball Coach Cortney Goodwin. "Her athleticism and experience as a multi-sport athlete will definitely help with our rotations and strengthen the depth of our bench as well. She's an all-around player and her skill sets at multiple positions make her an even more valuable asset."
