A freshman member of the Golden Eagles Volleyball Team has been named 2024 USCAA D2 Women's Volleyball Specialist of the Week for the week of September 10-17.

A panel of coaches and USCAA administrators voted Ava McFarland, a defensive specialist for the Golden Eagles to the honor. In four matches last week she recorded a total of 127 assists---with a high of 45 in a match against Owens Community College.

She also added 15 digs against OCC and had 26 digs in two matches. She averaged 8.20 assists per set last week, is 2nd in the USCAA in assists with 216, 5th in assists per set with 5.40 and 23rd in digs with 84.

Ava McFarland was recognized as USCAA D2 Specialist Of The Week.
