The fourth men's basketball poll of the season has been released by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles are ranked seventh in the nation in the USCAA D2 standings.

The Eagles are (7-4) on the season and received 84 points in the latest poll despite losing two consecutive games. They are just one point behind sixth-ranked Berkeley College (NY) and 31 points behind poll leading Penn State Wilkes Barre (10-1).

Playing an up schedule against Georgetown (KY) College (NAIA DI), Thomas More (KY) University (NAIA DI) and Defiance College (NCAA DIII)---two games---has drawn lots of attention for KSU Tuscarawas whose team power rating is 3rd overall in the USCAA D2, while their schedule power ranking is 10th overall. The Eagles recently lost a road game at Defiance 70-67.

The rankings can be found at the following link:  https://theuscaa.com/Coaches_Poll/2021-2022/Winter/Week_4

The Golden Eagles have four players averaging in double-figure scoring and are led by freshman, Kyle Shockley at 14.4 points per game. London Cobbs is second at 12.3 ppg, DeJuan Lawrence third with 11.8 ppg and Kameron Shockley is scoring at a 11.4 per game average.

In the USCAA National Statistical Leaders category, Lawrence ranks 4th in rebounds per game at 9.9, 7th in total rebounds with 109 (42 offensively & 67 defensively), 2nd in blocked shots with 36 and is 10th in field goal percentage making 58% of his shots on the season.

The Golden Eagles travel Bryant & Stratton College – Buffalo on Saturday, January 8, 2022 for a 3:00 p.m. tipoff with the USCAA D1, 4th ranked, Bobcats. Friday's game at Villa Maria has been cancelled due to COVID issues on the Vikings roster and has been rescheduled to Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
