PITTSBURGH, PA --- Feb. 1, 2022

Kameron Shockley of Kent State Tuscarawas has been named the USCAA Division II Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week. It is the second time in three weeks that a Golden Eagles player has won the award.

In a 96-85 win over the Community College of Beaver County last Tuesday, Shockley scored 22 points making 4/9 three-point shots, 6/8 free throw chances and hauled down 13 rebounds to go along with 4 steals and 2 blocked shots. On Saturday against Lorain County Community College, he duplicated his double-double effort in a big way by scoring 28 points, clearing 18 rebounds, converting 11/12 chances from the free throw line to go along with a steal and 2 blocked shots. He achieved the impressive stat line against LCCC even though he spent 10 minutes on the bench saddled with four personal fouls.

For the two games the Golden Eagles played last week, he scored a total of 50 points (25ppg), snared 31 caroms (15.5 rpg), was 5/12 from behind the three-point arc (42%), made 14/29 field goal tries (48%), sank 17/20 free throws (85%), had 5 steals and blocked 4 shots.

Shockley has been a steady engine for KSU Tuscarawas, helping the Golden Eagles to a 12-5 record and Top 5 USCAA DII ranking for the first time in the school's five-year USCAA membership history.
