PITTSBURGH, PA --- Feb. 2, 2022

The release of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Coaches Week 8 Poll, finds the Kent State Tuscarawas basketball team ranked just outside the DII Top 5 at No. 6 in the latest small college association rankings.

The Golden Eagles went 1-1 last week, suffering a 76-74 setback on Saturday that dropped them down three notches from their No. 3 ranking of Week 7. In the Week 8 poll the Eagles are just one point from fifth place and four points from fourth. The Eagles amassed 108 points in the latest rankings.

Penn State York leads the DII rankings with 136 points, followed closely by Penn State Wilkes-Barre (133) and Penn State Mont Alto (127).

The Golden Eagles game scheduled at USCAA DII, No. 9 Villa Maria College in Buffalo on Wednesday night has been cancelled due to impending weather.

On Sunday, KSU Tusc hosts Miami University - Middletown in a 3:00 p.m. tipoff. Tickets are $5 at the door and there are only two games left on the home schedule for this season. Due to COVID issues and weather, rescheduling has forced the Golden Eagles to play eight games on the road in February with the final seven games on the road.
