Monte, primarily plays first base, is a three-year letter winner on the Braves varsity softball team and will earn another letter during her senior year. She is currently a team captain and was named First Team Inter Valley Conference along with First Team Eastern District as a junior. She was also a two-year letter winner in basketball, having been named Honorable Mention District 5 as a junior and senior.

Academically, Monte maintains a 3.40 GPA and has earned upper level college credit through the College Credit Plus program at Kent State Tuscarawas. She will major in veterinary technology at the campus.

She served as Mix-n-Match 4-H Club President for four years and is an 11-year member of 4-H. She has also assisted in cleanup activities at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds and 4-H camp for the last seven years.

"Maddy is a wonderful young lady and a very versatile softball player," said Chuck Peach, Head Softball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "She can play any position in the infield and would play any position if asked to do so. She is a team leader and has the unique ability to play under control and help keep her teammates organized and involved on field. She can hit for power and is a great addition to our team. We are proud to have her wearing navy and gold."
