Hornets Miller Signs With KSU Tusc Softball

Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2022 East Canton High School senior to their softball team.

On May 6, Madisyn Miller signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles.

Miller, primarily a center fielder and relief pitcher, is a three-year letterwinner in softball for the Hornets. She also lettered in volleyball for three years and earned Second Team East District, Second Team Inter Valley Conference (IVC) and Second Team All-Stark County in 2021. She was an Honorable Mention IVC as a junior and also earned a letter in cheerleading at East Canton.

Academically, she is a member of the National Technical Honor Society, which celebrates the accomplishments of the career and technical education students. She in enrolled in the Animal Science Program at Canton South High School and is a certified veterinary assistant and senior class representative.

She will pursue a veterinary technology degree at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"I am really pleased to have Madisyn commit to us ," said Chuck Peach, Head Softball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "She is very athletic and her speed in center field allows her to track down balls in the gap and she's made some great run-saving catches in the games I have watched her. There's no doubt she has the skills necessary to lead in the classroom and on the field."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
