Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2024 Hartville Lake Center Christian High School senior to their softball team.

On Thursday, Emma Fulk signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles.

Fulk is on track to become a three-year letter winner for the Tigers softball team. She also earned letters in basketball where she broke the school record by making nine three-point shots in a single game as a junior. Her career batting average in softball is .493 and she has struck out just four times in 147 plate appearances. Defensively she has a solid .913 fielding percentage. As a junior she earned First-Team All Portage Trail Conference honors and was named to the Second Team of the All Northeast Inland District.

She carries a 3.0 cumulative GPA and is a volunteer at a local thrift shop where she helps sort clothes and household goods for people in need.

She will pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Kent State Tuscarawas.

"We are extremely excited for Emma to join us," said KSU Tuscarawas Head Softball Coach Larry Schall. "Emma is a great athlete. She has a strong arm, is quick on the base paths and very dominate at the plate. She is a hugely consistent batter and sees the ball well, as you can tell by only having four strikeouts in nearly 150 appearances at the plate."
