Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2019 Lake Center Christian High School senior to their women's basketball team. On March 6, 2019, Ellie Mizener signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Mizener was a two-year letter winner for the Lady Tigers basketball team and averaged 5.5 points per game to go along with 4 assists per game. She plans to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Justice Studies at KSU Tuscarawas and aspires to be a United States Marshal.

"Ellie is one of a kind and has a lot of heart," said Wally Stuchul, Head Women's Basketball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "She is recognized as a talented passer who sees the entire floor very well and she is very capable shooting the basketball as well. Ellie creates lots of opportunities for her teammates and she can be very disruptive with her determination on defense. We are proud to have her sign to play basketball with us."

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
